Year 1: Semester II

final reviews

ANTH 290: Cultural Politics of American Family Values

Susan McKinnon (Will Shroeder)

Class reviews everything from poverty to abortion.  Class was good, relaxed, and reinforcing of liberalism.  (*grin*)  Overall Decent.  And Will rocks.  *nod*

Grade: B+

HIUS 202: American History from 1865-Present

Will Thomas II (Matt Speiser)

Great class, good overview.  Teacher is extremely enthusiastic, but somehow boring.  I can't explain it.  Matt is a god... honestly.  The kid is extremely laid back and knowledgable: I would take a class in String Theory if he was teaching it.

Grade: B

PHIL 154: Issues of Life and Death

John Arras (Paul Sander)

Prof. Arras is excellent; a great guy and a great teacher.  He is more than willing to discuss/argue with you.  Paul's a dick, but some (Paul Lefkowitz) like 'im, so, whatever.  Overall, an _amazing_ class, and one I highly recommend to all.

Grade: B- (Thankyouverymuchpaulsander(youprick))

PHYS 102: Concepts of Physics

Robert Watkins

I'll let you decide: you get a huge class that has four total assignments and two exams that are pretty easy and don't require studying; class consists of watching a rather eccentric physicist do experiments that often backfire and watching the Italian Job and random excerpts of The Simpsons.  Woot!  Ah yes, and did I mention the prof rocks?

Grade: A-

RELG 104: Intro to Eastern Religions

Brian Phillips (Nathan Jennings)

Great overview of Hinduism/Buddhism.  Seriously.  It was awesome.  But as was said the first day-- Don't let the 100-level fool you.  You do have to work for it.  This is shit you haven't seen, even kids that are Hindu/Buddhist have to work.  Phillips is alright.  Jennings is a nutcase, though is absolutely amazing when doing his specialty: Christianity.  Take him for that, not eastern... by god!  But yeah, eh, twas decent.

Grade: B
